This photo features a beautifully bold iris in deep purple, with a soft yellow center that appears to radiate. Although computer images don't do it justice, the striking contrast is a testament to the wonders of nature.
My mother, who passed April of 2024, loved iris flowers and I remember planting over 100 bulbs in her back yard garden with her. These were one of her favorites varieties.
Use of the black minimalistic frame once again makes the subject center stage.

A Note On Frames:
Please know that at times I use refurbished frames for some of my photographs. This allows me to keep prices more affordable on some pieces and recycles materials. This means there may be very slight imperfections in the frames. They are very minor, hardly noticeable and in many cases on the back of the frame so are not forward facing. If one of my pieces is in such a frame (bonus if you get an antique one!), pictures of any imperfections will be posted with the piece. I feel it is important to be totally transparent regarding my practice of recycling frames. Thank you for helping me take care of our Earth.
