The heartland in winter is captured in its many layers - frosted grass, wheat, evergreens, naked branches of tall trees - all in a group shot. And with the glowing sun, we're reminded that this fleeting beauty will come and go. As I commonly do, I framed it in minimalistic black to let the image do the talking.
There are a few variations of this print on the website, it translated so well. This is the original and it was chosen to show in gallery at the Art Scene West Gallery in San Diego, CA during the 'Natures Narrative' show that ran from 2/2/2026 to 3/30/2026.

A Note On Frames:
Please know that at times I use refurbished frames for some of my photographs. This allows me to keep prices more affordable on some pieces and recycles materials. This means there may be very slight imperfections in the frames. They are very minor, hardly noticeable and in many cases on the back of the frame so are not forward facing. If one of my pieces is in such a frame (bonus if you get an antique one!), pictures of any imperfections will be posted with the piece. I feel it is important to be totally transparent regarding my practice of recycling frames. Thank you for helping me take care of our Earth.
